Day 47: Thursday, May 21

Matthew 18:10-14

“See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. What do you think? If someone owns a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go look for the one that went astray? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that one of these little ones be lost.

COMMENT & QUESTIONS

What is this parable about? What’s the application for us today?

The Parable is about God's love for every single person. We have just learned about how Jesus expects Christians to treat one another. Now we learn through this parable how deeply God cares for every single one of us. Nobody is excluded from God's love.

We can think about people in our life who are lost and perhaps forgotten about. We can remember to share God's love with those people who are wandering far from God.

PRAYERS

Pray for opportunities to seek those who are lost and who are astray
