Matthew 28:8-10
So they left the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. But Jesus met them, saying, “Greetings!” They came to him, held on to his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”

COMMENT & QUESTIONS
Who is the ‘they’ in this passage?
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary (see verse 1)
Why do you think Jesus showed himself to these women before he met His disciples? Could it be that they were the ones who had been with Him right up to His death?
We don't know exactly why. Perhaps it was because of their unwavering loyalty. In Jewish culture the testimony of women wasn't generally considered legitimate. Perhaps this was a way for Jesus to communicate that men and women would have equal value in His community. This is a great testament to the value and contribution that women make in the church.
Who are the brothers that Jesus is talking about?
Jesus has already stated in His teachings that people who followed Him would become His family members (12:46-50; 25:40). He is therefore referring to His disciples.
